A friend recently emailed me a nude (?) photo of Senator Scott Brown … and while I was staring at the obvious, there was a slight sense of disdain associated with pleasure.
Isn’t it ironic how most “patriotic, true-blooded Americans” who claim to possess “moral values” have a dark side rooted in sex? Also ironic is the masses of morally-just Americans living in this country who are quick to chastise a woman if she appears nude, calling her a tramp, degenerate, or worse. Yet, a man can pose in all his glory without hardly a mention in the press. Scott Brown simply commented, “It’s just something I did” without further explanation. The press – and the public – accepted his response.
Personally, I support nudity in any form – the human body is a remarkable form of art. Exposing oneself shouldn’t carry any weight toward someone’s ability to lead a nation. On the other hand, Scott Brown’s political viewpoint(s) does have weight – to which I oppose wholeheartedly – not because he’s a Republican supported by a party disguised as Indies but because his political direction resists equality for ALL people. With all the free press that he continues to receive, I’m certain he will “rise to the top” (like floating doo-doo) to quickly become the Republican Party’s poster child. Sigh. I’ll hang his [nude] poster right next to one with George Bush – under a banner which reads: ”The Political World’s Most Impressive “Dicks”.
