State Police say a truck driver was watching pornographic movies on a laptop while driving–when he crashed into a disabled car, killing a woman on the NY State Thruway near Pembroke, in America, last month.
Thomas Wallace, 45, of Brook Park, Ohio, was charged with manslaughter in connection with the death of Julie Stratton, 33, of Snyder, NY, on December 12.
Police said Stratton had struck a deer, which disabled her vehicle on the Thruway. Her vehicle was then struck by the tractor trailer driven by Wallace. Stratton died from her injuries.
In addition to watching porn while driving, Police saidy Wallace was keeping fictitious log books, and had been on duty for over 27 hours with only about four hours of sleep, when the accident happened.
Wallace was arraigned in Pembroke Town Court and is being held in the Genesee County on $50,000 bail or $200,000 bond.
